Dr. Chong Khek Nyen is an experienced and dedicated Family Medicine Specialist who has served the Ipoh community through his private general practice since 1992. With a medical career spanning over three decades, Dr. Chong offers a wide spectrum of comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages — from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Born and raised in Ipoh, Dr. Chong received his early education up to the Higher School Certificate level in his hometown. He later pursued his medical degree at Taipei Medical College, Taiwan, and graduated in 1984. He began his career as a resident doctor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Taipei Medical College Teaching Hospital, gaining valuable clinical experience before returning to Malaysia.
From 1986 to 1992, Dr. Chong served at Ipoh General Hospital, where he underwent extensive training across multiple departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, and General Outpatient Services. This broad exposure laid a strong foundation for his transition into private general practice.
